Is there anyway to share calendar appointments between 2 computers over a
network with buying more MS software?

Can outlook 2003 talk to collaberate with another machine with outlook 2003?

Do you know of any other options? I am willing to cut my losses with Outlook
and look at Lotus or any other non_MS options that will not  financially
bleed me to death.

Lotus Notes is just as bad, if not worse. Some of the options on the
Slipstick page aren't MS software so you wouldn't be giving MS any more cash
