automatic reminder

Hello. How do I make it so that the reminder is NOT selected already with
every new entry I make into the Calendar? I pretty much NEVER use the
reminder, and it is a pain to de-select it everytime!

G'Day Wonderwoman,

Tools>Options
   Preferences (tab)
   Calendar (section)
   Default reminder: (checkbox) - UNCHECK!

Hi-

In my preferences under calendar, i do not see a default reminder checkbox.  
This is Outlook 2003, correct?
