When I insert a new appointment, and click the "all day event" button, a
start time is still shown on the calendar.  How do I remove this?

Outlook 2003.  I should have mentioned that  in my first post.
Last night, I discovered the couse of my problem.  When you right click a
blank space on the calendar, then go to "customize current view", then to
"Fields" you end up with the "start and end" fields.  The top one shown is
"start" and the next one is "end".  Somehow, I had set both of them to
"start". As soon as I changed the settings to "start and end" as they are
suppose to be, the problem was solved.

Thanks for offering your help Brian.
