hi there,
I suddenly get the error
"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart Outlook"
when I try to add a new appointment to my calendar (in the OST file, cached
mode). same happens in offline mode, thus I guess I have a problem with my
OST file?
I checked the web and this newsgroup, but I could not find any explanation.
this is what I tried so far:
- of course, restarted Outlook, but that did not help
- deleted offline contents of the folder, resynchronized --> no change
- tried to open an appointment in another PST file --> that works fine
- open existing calendar entries --> works fine
- move/copy existing calendar entries --> works fine
- repaired the OST file with scanpst, it contained errors which were
fixed --> still the same problem
- checked email --> that works fine
any pointer or idea?
please do not tell me that I have to setup my profile again...
thanks
dan

In the meantime I found the "solution".
There were errors in the synchronisation log folder. After deleting them,
the calendar worked again.
Strange, but it solved my problem
