Please help me. When I get an invitation from other co-workers it doesn't go
directly on my calendar. I have check my settings with my co-worker (it does
add to her calendar automatically) and they appear to be the same.

Can you give us some data to go on: version of outlook, platform you are
running on etc.
Also, do you have more than 1 calendar?
