display day in calendar

one should be able to see what day it is that the calendar is diplaying,
without having to refer back to the monthly calendar.
I.E. display the day alongside to the date at the top of the window.

It will if your long date format includes the day name here: Control Panel >
Regional Settings applet > Date tab
