I want Outlook to show my appointments in 45 minute blocks.  HOw do I
accomplish this?

I'd split the calendar into 15 minute increments and  use three for an
appointment. The calendar increments are always evenly divisible fractions
of an hour so there's no 45 minute increment.

I was afraid it would come to such a solution.    Thank you, Vince.

This does not solve the 30 minutes increments. When you have a meeting
request window open the increments in the "Start Time" and "End Time"
pull-down menu are still 30 minutes. How can I change those to let's say 25
minutes?
Thanks.

Manually type in the time(s) those fields will take user input

Is there any way to permanently alter the drop down lists to increment on the
quarter hour?  Having to type it in each time is tedious.

I don't think you can alter that.
