Outlook should not autocorrect appointment end times

Outlook automatically adjusts the ending time for appointments to make them
even hours or half hours when the starting time is changed. This is a hassle.
I often have to adjust appointment start times back by fifteen minutes (for
example, from 10:00 to 9:45). When I do that and close the appointment box,
it then automatically changes the end time to one hour after the start time,
when I want it to remain at the time I originally put in (11:00 in the
example). I then have to go in and change the end time back (and it doesn't
even show up on the drop down list, which is in half hour increments). I
recommend that the program not make any changes to the ending time on its
own. I suppose you could put this as an Autocorrect option that could be
checked or unchecked.

G'Day Redman,

1. I'm afraid that most of the rest of the World want the
DURATION of the appointment to remain constant.

2. If you open the appointment, change the Start time and
press TAB, the end time changes IMMEDIATELY -
you don't have 'to go back in' to correct it.

3. IF (and only If) the amount by which you want to change
the time 'matches' the Increments on the Calendar's
vertical Time scale (15min ; 30 min....etc) then you may
change the time by 'Dragging' the borders of the
   Appointment 'box'.
Change the Start Time by dragging the Top
Change the End Time by dragging the Bottom    OR
Move the whole Appointment by dragging the blue bar
   beside the Left border.

NB. While dragging the blue bar, you may:
   Move the Appointment by dragging
Copy the Appointment by holding CTRL while dragging
   AND
that includes dragging off to the right and up to a different
   Day on the Date Navigator.

I agree with Redman. I find that feature profoundly annoying. If
wanted to change the end time, I would go into the field and chang
it. But most of the time, I just find myself correcting th
"auto-change" that Outlook has made. Wish MS would fix this

Not broken - no fix needed.  It is a matter of opinion.  I prefer Outlook to
presume that the meeting is still an hour long, just moved to a different
start time.
