I cant make appointments and add events. Error message is "could not save item". Anyone know the answer to this problem please? What version of Outlook are you using? How many items are already in the Calendar folder? I am having the very same problem. It worked fine up until about a month ago. When I made a new calendar and entered my items into it, it prompted me stating the reminder would not work as the item is not in my calendar or tasks list - hello - I just put it there....... That is not an error message. Reminders only fire from the default Inbox, Calendar, Tasks and Contacts folders in your default mail store (the set of folders where your mail is delivered). If you create another calendar folder and put items there, the reminders will not work.
