I am having the very same problem. It worked fine up until about a month
ago. When I made a new calendar and entered my items into it, it prompted me
stating the reminder would not work as the item is not in my calendar or
tasks list - hello - I just put it there.......
Sorry these are not words of wisdom just of aggravation.....

That is not an error message. Reminders only fire from the default Inbox,
Calendar, Tasks and Contacts folders in your default mail store (the set of
folders where your mail is delivered). If you create another calendar folder
and put items there, the reminders will not work. There are 3rd party
programs that add reminder functionality to other folders -- look here:

hello out there. i am having this poblem no also and boy do i wish i wasnt!
history: first i was just missing reminders- fixed that, then recurrance
issues occured, so i began to delete things off my calendar. no change. then
i deleted everything. now, i have no recurrance issue, but i cant create nor
respond to meeting requests, appointments, events, etc..
**NOTE: this started after downloading yahoo companion tool
