In Microsoft office 200 Outlook, I could open a recurrring appointment with a
single ooccurance or a series.  In 2003, can you  do the same? Also, the
remove recurrances box is grayed out when I try to remove a recurrance. Is
there a way to togggle this feature on and off?

1) Yes, you can. What happens when you try?
2) How are you opening the item?
