After furious head scratching, Cage68 asked:
| When starting up my calendar opens in the correct month for about 5
| seconds and then reverts to 3 months previous. In September it goes
| to June and I must click the months forward. Any suggestions?

Milly. I have found /cleanviews in help. It is obviously a command line
switch but I had never used them before. I have now done that and it did not
help. All it did was remove all my custom views but I expected that. My
calendar still reverts to June. I have also tried to reload Outlook from the
original disk and that doesn't fix it either. I thought it may be something
in my settings so I used the settings wizard and that didn't work either. If
worst comes to worst I can live with it but it is inelegant.

Have you checked your system clock?

Thanks, but it is not going to be that simple. The clock is OK. Don't bother
any further. I will keep trying.
