I have two calendars set up, work and personal. When ever I set an
appointment in my personal calendar a dialogue box tells me that the
appointment will not be displayed. I need to have my personal calendar active
to display my appointments. How can I do this please

you'll need reminder manager from slovaktech.com if you require two
calendars (I would use categories and mark personal ones private instead)
