I looked at the information at Microsoft's website and it suggested I change
some of the settings under "other settings" in the view area. I did that but
the secretary still wants more text. How can you make Outlook show more text
in the month view?

Do you mean the printed information is to cramped on the printed calendar,
or she wants to see more information about the particular appointments?
If its the former, you can adjust the style, paper, or even the font.
Althought the default Tahoma font doesn't show a font smaller than 8, you
can enter 5 in the font size and save.
If the later, switch the view to day/week/month with autopreview. Then print
it. - See if that's what she is looking for.
