when we put an event down for one day, it is showing as two days whenever our
calendar is viewed by a shared user...the date and time are correct when we
punch them in, but when shared it shows as being different?  Any ideas?

Are all users set to the same time zone? If not, you'll see what you're
seeing

Check that either your calendar or the calendar you are sending to is on the
correct time zone (Tools Menu/Calendar Options/Time Zone). This is quite
separate from the regional settings in your Control panel.

Just fixed this problem, but while the correct time zone was chosen in
Outlook, the "Adjust for Daylight Savings Time" box was not checked on some
of the workstations. This put that user an hour ahead (while we are on DST)
or the rest, and make their calendar entries move to a 2 day event.
