I would like to be able to create and use a standard template within an
Outlook calendar appointment, something like the signature feature you can
use in an email. Does anyone know if this is possible, any suggestions would
be appreciated?
Thanks.

You can create a custom form to create appointments. Save the customized
calendar item as either an *.oft or publish it as a custom form.

You can even do it without making a custom form if you want. Just fill out
the fields as you want in your "template" and publish to a folder.
