Duplicate Attendees

This is confusing, and not easily duplicated but ...

Sometimes when I schedule meetings in Outlook (2003), if I later open the
appointment to see who has accepted I will see some attendee names listed 2
or 3 times!  I haven't made any changes to the appointment, and like I say -
this doesn't happen all the time, but it's kind of confusing.

Any suggestions?

Are the duplicates delegate of attendees?

No, they're the people originally on the attendee list.  That's what's so
confusing.  Our adminstrative assistant and others in our office have also
noticed this.  Everyone just says 'well that's Outlook for you', but I'd
rather do something constructive, like look for a fix.
