I need to know is it possible to auto reply to an appointment, i am on a
mailing list of people responsible for certain tasks, somebody schedules an
appointment and one of recipents replies, however as the people who require
these tasks to be performed is varied and constantly changing i want to send
an autoreply to the sender of the appointment to let them know ground rules
etc before the appointment is accepted, i know how to autoreply to mails but
appointments i couldnt figure out,

thanks

Fran123:

1.  What version of Outlook are you using?
2.  Is the thing that you want to Auto-Reply to a Meeting Request? Are there
ever any Meeting Requests (or whatever they are) that you would NOT want to
Auto-Reply to?  If we are talking about Meeting Requests, do they ever have
the same Subject, or are the subjects all different?

Because with Outlook 2003, I *think* there's a way to create a rule that
will do what you want if what we are talking about is sending an auto-reply
message to a Meeting Request that arrives in your Inbox, but you'll need to
consider whether exceptions are needed.

Thanks,

tbgg
