I have successfully imported my contacts into Outlook, from an excel file.
However, the birthdays of the contacts came across, but these birthdays are
not showing up as events on my calendar.  I would like their birthdays to
show up on the calendar without having to enter each as a new event.  MS
Help, says that this is an automatic procedure that happens when the
birthdays are entered.  Can imported contact birthdays show as events on the
calendar?  If so, how?  Any feedback appreciated...Thanks.

Not when you import from a file like that, only when you create a new
contact (or add the b-day to it).

You can use http://www.rsoutlook.com/us/prods/prod05.html to put them on the
calendar.
