Has anyone had a problem where you enter a day event for holidays and the
like and it shows up as a two day event? We have been using this system for a
period of time now but this problem has come out the blue.

It tends to enter a date for the actual date and the previous date. This
problem is not related to the time zone. Our clients are using the outlook
calendar.

Any help on this would be greatly received...

Even though you mention it's not related to time zones, have you verified
all the time zone info is identical amongst the machines in question? I'm
just curious how you ruled out TZ issues in a problem that's typically
caused by TZ issues

Firstly we checked the time zone via the server.  It's a linux based machine,
which I know little about but I watched the guy check the time and it was
correct.  I checked the Windows PC's.    Double-clicked clock and went to
time zone tab.  Via Outlook, tools, options, calendar options, time zones.

Did you also check the Daylight Savings Time settings. Also, are all the
machines in question in the same time zone?

So, if you create an event right now it'll span two days automatically?

Dear Key,

please check in the calendar option in the time zone settings and compare it
with the time zone settings in your control panel.

Here you can enable or disable a "1 hour" time different. In Europe it is
the 1 hour difference between the Winter and Summertime. If this setting is
different in your setting,s a "day event" is now 1 hour shifted.

Please check the settings in both time settings. In Outlook in the calendar
settings and in the control panel on all PCs who have this problem.

Hi Oliver,

I have done this already and they are correct.  I know the clocks have
changed recently and where you are coming from.  This problem has been known
for months now and has got worse and worse.  You make an entry in the shared
calendar and it looks okay.  You then got into your inbox (or whatever) and
go back to the calendar and it shows in the correct date and the previous
day.  The entries are also jumping for meeting etc, from the specified date
and time to all day events.  Any other ideas?

Perhaps it is the server with the DST setting problem, since the problem
occurs in a shared folder, which I'm assuming is on an Exchange server.  If
this assumption is incorrect, I can't explain it, other than to suggest
there MUST be some machine in the mix whose time zone or DST setting is
wacky.

Hi Brian,

The server has been checked and the settting are correct.  It's open
exchange(SLOX).  I agree it looks so much like a time zone issue or something
to do with time but we have check and double checked these setting on the
desktops and the servers.  It's a really weird problem, one we have to fix
all the same!!  Any other ideas?
