MS Office Forum / Outlook / Calendaring / November 2005Pocket outlook doesn't sync calendar notes w/ OL 2002
Vitals: Outlook 2002 Pocket Outlook ActiveSync 4.0 I use my Pocket Outlook Calendar as a journal during the course of the day by adding notes to events and appointments (by adding notes I don’t mean I open up notes and attach them I mean I click on the note tab in the day view). For some reason when I sync the notes do not get synced to my PC. I should add that all of my events/appointments are recurring events and when I do edit the notes I am only editing the one occurrence (today). I think I’ve covered all the configuration options in OL, PO and AS (making sure that conflicts get overwritten on the PC etc.) but my notes still don’t show up when viewing the event/appointment in Outlook. > Vitals: > Outlook 2002 [quoted text clipped - 5 lines] > don’t mean I open up notes and attach them I mean I click on the note > tab in the day view). Forgot to list WM 5.0 in the "vitals". 2. Correct. On the PDA side, it's the Notes tab of the appointment. On the Outlook side, it's the large space within the appointment itself. SignatureBrian Tillman Either I'm doing something wrong or it's some "issue" with the software - my guess would be WM 5.0 Thanks for the quick reply. I'll keep searching for a solution. > Correct. I just synced and all the notes that I actually copied and pasted manually into Outlook are gone. They're still there on the handheld but gone on the PC. I just did notice this note in the AS 4 help file: "Note Some features supported in your personal information manager (PIM) may not be supported in Calendar. These features may not be synchronized or they may be synchronized incorrectly." Thought I had it all figured and bam ... last night I lost a week's worth of notes from both the PC and the device. :( |
