I prefer the 7-day week calendar view with days in columns next to one
another.

1)  At the top of the calendar I only see the dates and not the days
(Monday, Tuesday, etc).  How to show these also?

2)  Each calendar day now shows hours 00:00 to 23:00 .  I only wish to see
the hours 07:00 to 20:00 (to prevent cumbersome scrolling).  How to set?

3)  How to give Saturday and Sunday columns a background colour different
from the Monday-Friday columns?

1 - Make sure your long date format includes the token for day name (dddd)
here: Control Panel > Regional & Language Options applet > Click Customize >
Date tab

2 - Don't think you can do that

3 - I don't think you can do that on the weekly (two columns) or monthly
views but you can on the 5-day by setting the work week days here: Tools
menu > Options > Calendar
