Well ... the number depends on the month I select ... I've selected a few
month to answer your question:
june 05 - 839 items
juli 05 - 1224 items
november 05 - 440 items
october 05 - 843 items
september 05 - 948 items
... and the calendar starts 04!

I've updated my Outloook 2003 now with all available updates. - I can't tell
you if it helps because I yeserday created an new calendar and copied all
entries into it.
I can only tell you that each time I open the public calendar or I open
another month I get a popup for five seconds that Outlook tries to get data
from the exchange server. - Or I get the red exclamation mark in the Outlook
symbol in the system tray.

switch to the by category view and get the total for the folder. It wouldn't
surprise me if you are at the limit for items in a folder - it can be as low
as 16,000 depending on your *.pst file.

If I check it in the way you told me, he shows me 1070 itmes total.
The calendar is Public Folder. - What has this to do with the *.pst?
I think our server is powerfull enough to handle such folders. It's dual CPU
machine with 4 GB RAM. The old server was only a Pentium III and the amount
of users hasn't grown a lot. - The data they store has grown ...
What do you think?
What can be the problem?

Are you using a custom form? Try deleting the forms cache on his computer
and see if that fixes it.

Not really. - The problem is that the folder works now. - But it will fail in
some weeks.
