We have tons of conference rooms in our GAL and sometimes my first choice is
not available so I need to edit the resource name slightly (e.g., from
"Conference Rm 151-3440A" to "Conference Rm 151-3440B".)   However, since the
address is "checked" once I access the free/busy info from the server, I am
unable to merely edit it as text and change the last character from A to B.
I need to retype the entire name again which is rather annoying.

Is it possible to uncheck the name when ever a user attempts to edit it by
letting them use the arrow keys to navigate into the text and modify it using
delete and insert as opposed to have the arrow keys skip over it completely.

Better yet  - why doesn't Outlook let me create a list of favorite meeting
rooms and have Outlook automatically find one which is available during my
meeting time instead of my doing this trial and error?!?

Creatre a distribution list containing your favorite conference rooms.
Start the New Meeting Request, go to the Scheduling tab and put the
Dist-List in as the invitee.  Hit the plus sign to expand it and it will
populate the list with all your favorite conference rooms.

Delete all but the one you decide to reserve.
