I'm using Outlook 2000 SP3. When I try to save a new appointment and when I
close the application I receive an error message saying Microsoft Outlook
has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience. When I select "Debug" it informs me of and unhandled
exception. I've sent many error reports in but no fixes have been
forthcoming. Anyone know what to do about this problem?
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "logged to the Event Viewer." If you
mean what shows in Event View, there are several items showing but they are
normal enough looking.
As for Safe Mode, I assume you mean when Windows is running in Safe Mode,
and yes, the behavior is the same in that mode.

Actually, he meant running Outlook in safe mode by using the /safe command
line switch.
Start>Run. Enter "outlook.exe /safe" in the Open field. Click OK. You may
have to include the entire path to the outlook.exe file.

OK, thanks. Tried it that way and got the same behavior. Any other ideas?

Have you used Help>Detect and Repair? Have you tried a new mail profile, if
you're using Outlook in Corporate/Workgroup mode? WHat changed on your PC
between when it did work and now?
