I have been building a personal calendar in Microsoft Outlook on my home
computer and I would like to export the whole calendar to my office computer
at work so that I can view it side by side with a shared group calendar in
the office.  How can I go about doing this and are there ways to sync the
Outlook Calendar to a PDA device such as a Palm?

One way to do it is to create a new PST at home (File>New>Outlook Data File)
and copy the calendar to that PST.  With Outlook closed, copy that PST to
some medium and transport it to work.  (Note: some companies have policies
that would prohibit this, since it's a virus hazard.)  At work, copy the PST
to the hard drive, taking care not to overwrite any existing PST, make sure
it's not read-only, start Outlook, and open the PST with FIle>Open>Outlook
Data File.  You'll then have access to the calendar it contains and you can
either copy its contents to your delivery location calendar, or just use it
in place.  If you do the latter, reminders won't be available without a
third-party tool.

Most (all?) PDAs come with software that will allow you to sync the PDA
calendar and contacts (and maybe more) with Outlook's calendar and contacts.
That's how I keep my home and work calendars in sync.
