Importing calendar from Outlook XP into 2003 only creates shell entries

My girlfriend is having a serious issue at work after they've upgraded
from Office XP to 2003. Her outlook calendar didn't seem to upgrade
properly, and she's ended up with two calendars (an old one and a new
one).

The new one (the default) is completely empty, and the old one has all
her old appointments in it.

Ideally, she would make the old one her default in 2003, but the IT
people have said she cannot do this because her default is
determined/linked to the email server.

Alternatively, they have tried to export the details from the old
calendar into the new default one, but this does not entirely work.
Appointments from the old calendar do appear in the new one, but appear
to be "shell appointments" only. I.e. they show no details of who has
accepted meetings, who initially sent the meeting request, and there
are no recurrences. In addition, if someone subsequently sends an
amendment to a meeting, acceptance etc, this does not appear to
register on the new (now default) calendar.

Any ideas anyone without going through each individual appointment and
setting it up again.

Thanks in advance

Pete

Don't export the old calendar, use drag and drop to populate the new
calendar. Display the old calendar by category, select all, then drag and
drop the entries on the new calendar folder, not the calendar itself.
