Outlook Calendar should display the day as well as the date

Except for the 31-day view, outlook doesn't show the day, just the date.  It
is not always clear which day of the week you are looking at.

Make sure your long date format includes the token for day name (dddd) here:
Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Click Customize > Date tab.

As a developer I would really like to avoid changing the regional settings on
my machine. I try to keep my developing enviroment as similar as possible to
the production enviroment on our web server. I do not want to get possible
date errors in my web application because of this. MS should add a option for
this in Outlook and not be dependent of the regional settings for this.

I, on the other hand, believe that Outlook does it exactly correct.  When I
change my Windows settings, I want ALL applications that use the data to
behave in the same way and make use of those settings.
