I keep getting this message when trying to input a new appointment but my
folder does not exceed 2gb.  I've tried repair/archive/compacting but it
still happens

How many items are in your Calendar folder? Just curious if it's over 16,384
or 65,536

Your folder is full.

JK. your problem is not size, but probably number of items.  As Vince
stated, there are certain maximums in computer programming, and you have
probably exceeded one of them.
