Turn off calendar reminders

How do you set the default for reminders to off.  I don't want reminders for
all of my appointments as it drains the batteries on my iPaq.  All battery
saving options have been turned off as they interfere with my work so the
thing just stays on.

I managed to turn them off in Outlook 2000 but can't find it in 2003.

It's on the Tools menu > Options dialog.
