colour for catagory eg Holiday

I have previously read instructions on this site to assign colours to a
Catagory eg Holiday or Dr etc which is automatically applied to the calendar.
I found it under hints from "Crabby Old Lady". After my husband replaced
the motherboard & "rebuilt" the PC. I had forgotten how to do it & could not
find it again. I could tell at a glance what sort of appointment was coming
up & print it out to take with me when going away. Can someone help me?

with this version?
