With Palm Desktop, I am able to edit a recurring appointment and then select
whether the change applies to All instances, or just to current, or to
current and all future appointments. This is a very useful feature. How
does one do this with Microsoft Outlook 2003? (MSOutlook only seems capable
of changing all the appointments even the ones that have already taken place
in the past....not a useful feature.) Please advise. Thanks!

I agree that this would be handy. However, you can work around it. Make a
duplicate of the recurring appointment so that you have two identical
appointments. Open the original series and enter a stop date of the most
recent occurrence. Save and close. Open the new copy series and change the
start date to the next recurrence. Make whatever other changes you need and
save and close.
