Managing Multiple Calandar for Sports Program

I am managing scheduling for 10 teams and four coaches. I am trying to
decide the most efficient way to accomplish this project. When should I use
sub-calendars and when should I use categories?

Categories allows you to switch views in the same calendar to display only
the teams that you want to display.  It is more difficult using sub folders.
