I searched for Midterm on my calendar and it brought up the results in a
list, but now I can't get it back to Monthly view.  I have gone through and
turned off all filters, but the view remains as a list.  Any suggestions?

Did you try applying the day/week/month view? Browse for it on the View
menu... under Current views.
