Declined Invitations showing up as Accepted

has anyone had this problem before? I have researched it, and someone
I work with has been having this problem with Outlook for a couple of
months. She will decline an invitation but as soon as she sends the
decline, it still shows up on her calendar as accepted and reminds her
of the event.

Any ideas?

Outlook version 2003 and delegates were not used in the tests nor in
the events. This is user-specific, receiving an invitation and
declining, to have it show up as accepted still.

Does this person have auto-accept on by default? Tools->Options->Calendar
Options->Resource Scheduling?
