cannot save appointments in Calendar

Like several other users I am unable to save appointments in my Outlook
calendar (I cannot edit or delete either). We are running Outlook 2003
SP1 on an Exchange Server. I do not receive any error message when I
try to save an appointment (it actually saves and then disappears after
a few seconds), though if someone tries to create an appointment in my
diary for me they receive an error "Cannot save ite. Messaging
interface has returned an unknown error". I have not tried SCANPST.EXE
(as it's Exchange). Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried shutting down and restarting Outlook/Windows?
