I want people to be able to click on an Outlook Meeting Request in an MS word
document (announcing training dates) to place the Meeting Request into their
calendar.  I have figured out how to attach in a Mail Message but I would
like to have it in a MS word document if it is possible.  Thanks.

Save the appointment as an .ics iCalendar file, place it on a network drive or intranet web site, then add it into the Word document as a hyperlink pointing to that file location.
