Reminders underneath working window

Calendar reminders pop up underneath my working application window, so that
they are not visible, and because taskbar buttons are now "grouped", I can't
see it there, either.  Is there some way to make them always appear on top?

No, I don't think so; I've never heard of Plaxo.
