Hi I was trying out Access and Outlook integration and after that I got the
following problem
Custom UI Runtime Error in Microsoft Access Outlook Add-in for Data
Collection and Publishing - The call to GetCustomUI() for RibbonID
"Microsoft.Outlook.Appointment" failed.
Anyone that has the same problem or even better a solution to it. It’s very
annoying to get this question every time I open an appointment (after closing
and opening outlook since I chose "OK to all"
I have done the following
1. Diagnostics
2. Repairing office

Hope to find a solution before we se the final product.

That's not a normal error message that sends a report to Microsoft, is it? If not, then you should provide is with the Send a Smile/Frown tool from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=A2E1F4E2-BC0F-4403-B09F
-7A677D55F274
. This tool will transmit your comments and a screenshot of the error back to Microsoft.

Once you've done that, disable the add-in: Tools | Trust Center | Add-ins. Under Manage at the bottom, click Go and then clear the checkbox for that add-in.

That addin from MS is pretty screwed up and often causes that error message
when it tries to put ribbon controls up on items. Just disable that addin
from the Trust Center and the error will go away.

Turning off UI error messages might also work. If only I could remember where to do that. :(

Advanced Options dialog from Tools, Options. Uncheck the "Show add-in user
interface errors".

That just prevents the errors from being shown, the exceptions will still
fire. I'd just disable that Access addin and have done with it.

It's too bad that it's broken. I really liked the data collection solution it provides.

Disable the Access addin for Outlook in the Trust Center. It's causing that
error.
