I have, what I hope is a simple question.  When using my Outlook Calendar
(2003) and I enter an appointment, I want the details (or notes) for that
appointment to show up without having to double click and open the
appointment.  I am viewing it by month so I get a rather large "block" but
the only thing displayed is the Subject and Location.  I'd prefer, and I am
sure I've seen where the full details are displayed right in the same spot
without having to open it, or use the "reading pane".

Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

Outlook can't do what you want. Autopreview will work in the daily view, but not the monthly view.

No, it does not show the details/notes in ANY view.... unless I turn on the
preview pane.  However it IS possible as I have googled it and seen the
evidence of all the details showing up in hte little "block" of time for the
appointment.

If by auto preview you mean the "reading pane", no.  That is exactly what I
am trying to avoid using.  There is plenty of space in the "time block" to
display the details and I have seen pictures of it online.  I do not want to
use the preview pane as it takes up entirely too much space.  For now I've
resorted to putting all the information (a couple of sentences really) right
in the "Sbubject" and "location" lines.  Then I can see all the info without
having to open it or use the preview pane.

No, she means the built-in Day/Week/Month with AutoPreview view.

No, then I am not sure what "auto-preview" is, or how to turn it on.  I will
try to look it up as this thread is becoming old and you may not see this
additional post.

Ok, I googled the Auto-Preview feature, and it seems to only apply when
viewing your MAIL items, not your calendar as we have been discussing.  When
I have my inbox seleceted, click view, I see I have the options for "reading
pane" as well as "auto preview" however when my calendar is selected, and I
click view, I ONLY have the option for "reading pane" ... there is no "auto
preview" listed at all.

Not true. AutoPreview can apply to all types of items.

As I mentioned in my earlier message, the Calendar folder has a built-in Day/Week/Month with AutoPreview view. It shows AutoPreview in Day mode.

Well, I don't have it as an option under "view" in day, week, or in month
mode.  Nothing is automatically previewed....  How can I enable it with no
option for it under "View" ?

Maybe this will help.  I've taken a screenshot of my calendar with the "View"
selection open.  It is in Day view, and u can see that there is no option for
"autopreview".  The indormation in the actual appointment was all enetered in
the "subject" and "location" lines not the details or notes box.
