Presently calendar shows Monday as the first day of the week and Sat & Sun as
the last. I would like to start Sat & Sun as the first days of the week is
this possible  and if so  where are those settings??

Depending on your view, it's one of two things: right click on the calendar
and choose other settings - remove the check from compress weekends. Or
tools, options, calendar and set the first day of the week to Monday.
