Can you attach an Outlook email to a calendar appointment?

Is there a way to attach an email received in Outlook to an appointment
already set up in the calendar? Looks like you can attach items from your
computer but not an email. Only way around this, I guess would be to copy the
body of the email text and paste into the calendar, but I would rather attach
the email itself for reference.

I can open the calendar item and then drag the mail message to the notes
portion.  Doesn't that work for you?

Yes, once I resized both windows for the calendar (opened in new window) and
the email all I had to do was drag and drop to the notes section as you
suggested. Clicking on the envelope icon just created opens up the email
great. This is just what I needed.

Thanks ever so.
