We have recently set up Group Calendars for various departments in our
organization.  However, any information older than one month disappears out
of the calendar.  We need to retain that history - is there a setting
somewhere that controls this?

Sounds like archiving is turned on for those folders. Did you check on the Properties dialog for the folder?

I have the archive turned on as I need it for a plug in program.  Is there a
way to just turn the archive off on the group calendar?

As I indicated earlier, you can control the archiving for any folder using the Properties dialog for that folder.
