pop up reminders for my calender

Since yesterday, the  up reminders on my calendarized appointments have
stopped appearing. I have reset the "reminder options" per the information in
the HELP menu. Have checked all settings as suggested by the HELP menu.
Please suggest how I can get this turned back on.

Start Outlook one time with the /cleanreminders switch.
Start->run->Outlook.exe /cleanreminders.  Note teh space before the /.
