icalendar check box in my outlook is greyed out how to enable it?

In tools-->options-->calender options, "when sending meeting request over
internet use icalendar format" options is greyed out, how to enable it?

That's normal if your only mail account is Exchange, which should handle the iCalendar conversion automatically. If you add a POP3 account to your mail profile, the check box will be available.
