how IMPORT FROM EXCEL START/END /DESCRIPTION TASK INTO CALENDER

I have created an excel spread sheet that describes the task /start date/end
date. I would like to have the decribtion written into the start day thru the
end date with some highlite bar showing the duration

Outlook provides a File | Import and Export command for importing from Excel.
