Hello,

I have a situation where it would be really useful to be able to share
Calendars across different Active Directory forests.  While it is not
currently possible, will this be enabled in Exchange 2007?  (If someone knows
how to do this in Exchange 2003 - please post the details).

Thanks

TG

YOu will be able to exchange free/busy information across forests using the new Availability web service in Exchange 2007, but not calendar details. Users can send calendar details (using iCalendar) to either other easily, though, with Outlook 2007.

Follow up - So to delegate the ability to book appointments in my calendar to
someone in a different AD forest, I would be able to use iCalendar?  Or will
Outlook 2007 be able to handle that.  (Just want to confirm the specifics).

Thanks

No, you cannot perform delegate tasks across forests. You can, however, use iCalendar to transmit the entire contents of your Calendar folder (or a date range).

Is it possible to use SharePoint or some other technology (other than MS
Office Online) to share calendars across AD forests? We have a need for our
team to be able to use individual calendars, then aggregate all these
calendars into a team calendar. Ideally we would like to able to view
different members of the team either side by side or overlaid, as is the case
with Outlook Shared Calenders.

Is this possible, given that some of out team members are outside of our
main AD forest? We do have access to SharePoint 2007.
