Outlook Calendaring for Families

It would be a unique selling point for families using the same PC or home
networked PCs to be able to share their Outlook Calendars. I would like to be
able to set up meetings or appointments with my spouse and/or teenagers. I
would like to assign tasks to my teenagers or set up tasks for each of us to
work on a family project together. I would like my family to know when I'm
available to assist them or when I need their assistance (such as: when the
car is availble for my teens to use or for me to provide taxi service, when I
need my daughter to be available to watch her younger siblings - to request
the task and then have it post to her calendar with a reminder, etc.). This
tool could help me teach my children  responsibility, goal setting, team
work, etc., and keep my working spouse in the loop using familiar technology.

With today's busy lifestyles and hectic family schedules, this tool would be
very valuable to me. It would also benefit MS by capturing a market before
they even enter the workforce (my teens).

see if any of the utilities here meet your needs:

BTW - you can send meeting and task requests to other users, just email them
and make sure they are sent with 'always use rtf' on the address properties.

outlook 2007 will have better built-in abilities for sharing calendars with
others.

Good day. I'm using a trial version of Outlook 2007 and am working though the
same issues Bonnie and others have discussed below.

You indicated that there are options in Outlook 2007 for sharing calendars
between family members...any suggestions with the new functionality?

Thanks in advance for your help.
