Calender and tasls problem

I use OL 2000 with Win 98SE.  Whenever I try to copy a task to my calender I
get the error below and then OL closes.
Can anyone help so I can copy my tasks into the calender.

you haven't stated the method you are using to copy the Tasks to the
Calendar.  Try another method and see if it works.

Hello Judy,
I tried drag and drop that usually worked I am also unable to create an
appointment etc in the Calendar as I receive the same error.
The problem started after I D/L the MS security updates.
I uninstalled the updates but the error still occurs.
