I've been using Oracle Calendar and it gives you the option of making a set
of recurring appointments (say 1 each month) but you can change the date of a
single appointment (or more) if you wish.   You can do this within the
recurring appointment setup e.g. you don't have to manually find the
appointment and make a change.  It is a very useful feature.   I can't seem
to find how to do this in Outlook.  Does anyone know ?

Cheers

As far as I know, Outlook can't do that but there might be a third-party
addin that helps. See if this one works for you:
