When i send a calendar meeting from the outlook to my phone (motorola razr)
using the bluetooth, the meeting time advances by 5 hrs  when sent to the
phone- both my phone and laptop are set for ET time
and by 6 hrs when sent to the phone - when my phone and laptop are in CT

But when i send a meeting request from my phone to the outlook no issues...

any ideas
Thanks

it sounds like the phone is not properly handling the time zone stamps on
appointments. Have you checked with Motorola to see if this is a known
issue?

Thanks Diane, yep have spoken to Motorola, HP , Cingular, as per all of them
no issues with their products.
Motorola customer service person specifically told me that there is no
setting on the phone to be adjusted, it just takes what it gets.

regards

Outlook uses UTC on the appointment and the computers time zone to display
the correct time for your area. It sounds like the device is taking the UTC
time and not applying it's time zone to the things it gets from outlook.
Assuming the device's time and time zone are correct, there a mobile
newsgroup on this same server and the experts there could tell you if you
have something misconfigured.
